These stones are completely natural - they are not treated, heated, or dyed. Cherry Tanzurine derives its color from the presence of Lepidolite. Cherry Tanzurine is technically a form of lithium quartz, which is a true cherry quartz (almost all quartz referred to as "cherry quartz" on the market is synthetic - it is glass). Emerald Tanzurine derives its color from the presence of Fuchsite. The two colors come from two separate mining areas in Tanzania, that are about 50 miles apart.
